- Liver Cirrhosis: Provides amino acids at 1.2–1.5 g/kg body weight
Indications
- For treatment of hepatic encephalopathy in patients with cirrhosis/hepatitis
- In hepatic coma
- Nutrition support in patients with liver diseases requiring parenteral nutrition who are intolerant of general-purpose amino acid solutions
Dose
- 1.2 to 1.6 ml/kg body weight/hour, administration through the peripheral vein
Drip Rate
- 28 to 38 drops/min for 70 kg body weight patients
