Ketocal is a complete food powder, rich in lipids, low in carbohydrates, enriched with vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
For a large group of patients, antiepileptic drugs have no effect. A ketogenic diet may then be recommended. A ketogenic diet requires a diet containing very few carbohydrates and a lot of fat.
So-called ketones are then formed in the body. These ketones are used as an energy source for the brain instead of glucose, which helps reduce the number of seizures.
KetoCal is a special food suitable for this ketogenic diet.
KetoCal is a powdered, complete food, high in fat and low in carbohydrates. It contains a balanced amount of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, mineral salts and trace elements.

Instructions
The amount of KetoCal required per day depends on your age, weight and medical condition, and is determined by the doctor or dietitian.
The recommended proportion is 1:5; you must therefore dilute 20 g of powder in 80 ml of lukewarm water (50° C) to obtain 100 ml of food. For a less concentrated solution, a ratio of 1:7 can be used; you must then dilute 20 g of powder in 120 ml of lukewarm water to obtain 140 ml of food. Mix or mix well, then let the food cool in the refrigerator.
To avoid gastric and/or intestinal problems, the volume of food should be built up over several days, until the total volume is reached.
