Description:
Menofem is a unique combination of Cimicifuga racemose (Black cohosh), Trifolium pretense (Red clover) and Minerals.
Cimicifuga rcemosa: Black cohosh was shown to have estrogenic activity used mainly to treat gynecological disorders, especially painful periods and problems associated with menopause. It is very effective in restoring female hormonal balances and helps to relieve menopausal syndrome such as hot flushes and vaginal dryness.
Trifolium pretense: Red clover contains phytoestrogen a plant-based compound similar to estrogen. Phytoestrogen also known as isoflavones have estrogen like effect. In women with low estrogen level (such as postmenopausal women), phytoestrogen act like weak estrogen. Red clover may work to relieve the symptoms of menopause.
Calcium carbonate: Menopause leads to bone loss because decrease in estrogen production both increase bone resorption and decrease calcium absorption. Calcium supplements contain varying amounts of elemental calcium which helps to maintain calcium level.
Magnesium: This is an important mineral for bones in menopause. Magnesium is also known as ‘nature’s tranquilizer’, so it will help with symptoms such as anxiety, irritability and mood changes.
